For women today, it is the best of times; it is the worst of times.
Career opportunities have never been better. The glass ceiling of the last century has been shattered. The potential for women to advance in almost any career has never been better. But with this equality, with this fairness, there seems to have come a host of other things that cloud our own personal vision of what we really want to do, what we really need, as a person, and as a woman.
Today, nearly 75% of women work out side the home and 49% of women are raising kids in a single parent home.
Seventy-eight percent of kids under the age of 18 are involved in more than two extra-circular activities at any one time. And that’s beyond the regular school hours.
Today, whether working outside the home, married or single, women are pulled in many different directions. Kids. House. Husband. Career. Housework. Church. Shopping. Cooking. Cleaning. Job. School. Dating.
Stress is high. Anti-depressant and anxiety medication use is high. Authenticity is at a low point in whatever relationships actually make it through the madness.
Hobbies? Fun? Friends? Romance? What, are you crazy?
